The Orchards

• Nearby Recreation - The Orchards is surrounded by nearby recreational facilities including a public golf course, lakes for swimming and boating, fishing in the Sackville River, horseback riding stables,  biking, hiking, cross country ski trails, snowmobiling and ATV trails.  Ski Martock is only a 30 minute drive from The Orchards.
• Equestrian - Mount Uniacke is a popular equestrian destination.
• Trails - Trails on our property along the Sackville river are planned. They will extend to the old train tracks which are to become part of the Cross-Canada walking trails system. 
• Airport Access - The Orchards is less than a 30 minute drive to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
• Shopping and Dining - A farmers market, Nova Scotia Liquor Commission outlet, an Irving service station, a lively pub, a restaurant on the golf course and numerous other small businesses make their mark in Mount Uniacke. Large retail outlets, grocery stores, movie theatres, banks and restaurants are located in Sackville, which is only a 10 minute drive down the highway.
• Churches - Picturesque steeples of Churches of various faiths dot the landscape of Mount Uniacke.
• Health Care - There is a medical clinic and pharmacy in Mount Uniacke.
• Schools - The local elementary school and library is just down the road from The Orchards.
• Snow Removal - We have arranged with a local company to  clear snow from the driveways of our homeowners at reasonable rates. 
• Area Attractions - The Orchards is near Uniacke House National Historic Museum and a provincial park, which are popular with tourists, cyclists, history buffs and wedding parties. Farther north along Highway 101 you will have fun sampling wine at the many vineyards located in Hants and Annapolis Counties.
